Zac Posen showed off an elegant LED dress at the close of his show during New York Fashion Week. The dress was the result of a collaboration with a number of students from the Google’s Made With Code program. The dress contains motion sensors and when the wearer twists an animated pattern plays over the upper, multi colored, LED’s. The students coded these patterns, at the time not knowing what they were to be used for.
The video gives an insight into the making of the dress and the student contributions.
The light from the LED’s is nicely diffused under a layer of meshed material, giving the light fuller body.
