AiQ are a textile company with vision, looking to provide textile platforms for companies further up the value chain. At Mobile World Congress they had a cool stand showing off their Bio-Man shirts, which had textile electrodes linked to vital sign monitoring electronics. That in itself is not so striking, as others also make such shirt, but the difference is that AiQ don’t want to be the service provider, unlike most of the other vertically integrated companies in this space. This is a refreshing position, making functional textiles more generally available. The company additionally offers shielding and heating textiles.
