Finding things in handbags can be difficult in the dark. Using LED’s integrated into the Ricky bag, Ralph Lauren hopes to shed some light and help solve the problem. The bag also comes with a battery charger; the combined features aiming to make life easier for the owner. This marrying of technology and fashion follows on from Ralph Lauren’s heart-rate monitoring sports top and shows an intent to modernize their fashion, together with a growing comfort with electronic technology.
The following video shows the white LED’s, though it is not clear to me how they are turned on and off. The price tag is an eye watering £3,200 for the hand-made bag.
