I guess it had to happen, the pattern changing bra has arrived, delivered by Japanese manufacturer Triumph. The bra can go from a dark polka dot pattern, to a white pattern with snow flakes. What is really interesting is that the bra’s use e-ink as the changing material. In many respects this is better suited to the use in garments, compared to the current electronics of choice, multi coloured LED’s. e-ink is reflective, the same as normal fabric and once a pattern has been loaded onto the e-ink display it requires no further power to maintain it, so battery requirements would be very low.
Triumph have no plans to commercialise the idea at present.
