Skully raises $11 million to start manufacturing their smart motocycle helmet

Back in August we did a short feature on Skully, a smart motocycle helmet with a rear view camera, head-up-display and GPS navigation. At that time the company was running a highly successful Indiegogo campaign, raising over $1.5 Million. The company has now taken the next step by raising $11 Million in a series-A funding round. These additional funds will enable the company to establish a manufacturing process and complete further R&D work. Overall it is highly encouraging that a wearable concept can generate this magnitude of funding and shows the value of initial crowd-sourcing to valid an idea and generate seed capital.
