Navigate – the jacket that gently guides you

Navigate
The team at wearable experiments have developed a prototype jacket that they claim can do turn-by-turn navigation.
The distance to the destination and when to turn are conveyed through LED’s and actuators on the shoulder. I’m guessing that a smartphone does the actual navigation and the jacket is effectively an extension of the phones interface, in this case dedicated to hands free navigation. I like the bike example as I can really see the benefit of the interface in this case.
The following video gives a good summary of the development and how they hope to commercialise it in the near future.
